Yes, it's that time of the year again! I usually do not like to plant anything until Memorial Day and this year, I was right on schedule. Grandma and I headed to Steins to pick out our plants over the weekend and here I am planting.- 4 Tomatoe plants
- 1 Watermelon plant
- 1 Cucumber plant
- 12 Geraniums in the front of the house
Grandma also planted green onions in a pot and two pots of sunflowers for the patio. Can't wait to see what pops up in those! She was also very busy spreading bark all over the place. She says it makes everything look pretty....whatever.
Will keep you posted as the plants grow, especially that watermelon plant!

Bark DOES make things look prettier.
Although I'm more concerned that there was no mention of green beans or peas...
Bark is great stuff! And just for the record, I did ask for snow pea pods but was advised by the "Garden King" that it gets too hot for them....what? It didn't get hot years ago when we had them and would enjoy going out there, snapping them off and eating them fresh off the vines?
I guess I shoukd have planted peas and/or beans but the fencing was gone so I'd have to replace that and it's alot of work for a little return sometimes
